So, I've made substantial progress on book 4, yet my characters are fighting with me. I've written scenes I don't want to just throw away, yet I just might have to. I seem to always reach this stage. I've nearly written the whole thing and I'm not feeling it - my characters aren't feeling it.
Rather than scrap the whole thing, I'm going to take some time away from it.
While I'm doing that, I'm going back to an older story of mine that I've always liked. I'm setting it in the same universe as Kavanagh Supernatural Investigators and am excited to go back and *hopefully* make the writing more mature. It's not like my writing is the best, but looking over this final draft from ten years ago is making me cringe 😊.
